The War in Gaza and Biden's Reelection Hopes

The protest vote against Biden has been overstated, but had he not supported Israel, Biden would be in much worse shape now.

There is not doubt that the war in Gaza has made Joe Biden's road to reelection more difficult. The Democratic Party is an unwieldy and awkward coalition, much more so than the Republican Party, even at the best of times. Today's Democratic Party includes a huge majority of the Jewish vote as well as a majority of the Muslim vote. Additionally, millions of Americans who are neither Muslim nor Jewish, but have a range of opinions on Israel are part of the Democratic coalition
