The Washington Post’s decision not to endorse a candidate in the presidential election seems to arise from a combination of factors. Post owner Jeff Bezos will likely have business in front of the next administration and is probably afraid of retribution if Trump wins. It is also probable that Bezos, like many of the country’s wealthiest people supports Trump and did not want his newspaper to endorse Kamala Harris. In other words, the driving forces behind Bezos’s decision were cowardice and support for a fascist movement.
