The Ohtani Contract
Shohei Ohtani's contract is huge, but because of the way it is structured is a pretty good deal for the Dodgers.
On Saturday afternoon I was having lunch with two friends who are also big Giants fans. As we were preparing to pay the bill we learned that Shohei Ohtani had signed with the Dodgers. We had all kind of expected the news, but that didn’t make it any easier to hear. Oddly, the man in the booth next to us in the deli in Long Island was a Dodgers fan, so he had a very different reaction.
