If you were to ask what was the single greatest or most extraordinary game from any individual player there would be many good choices. Harvey Haddix throwing 12 innings of perfect baseball only to lose the game in the 13th comes to mind. The eighteen players have hit four home runs in a game would be good choices as well. There have only been 24 perfect games in baseball history, but among those Don Larsen's perfect game against a powerful Brooklyn Dodgers lineup in the 1956 World Series might be the greatest single game accomplishment ever.
