The Board of Supervisors crafted language that many Americans support and passed a resolution that does not ignore the hostages or rising antisemitism.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors began the new year with heated debate about the war in Gaza. Ultimately, a relatively broad ceasefire resolution passed by a vote of eight to three. Mayor London Breed then announced that she would not support the resolution.
