Trump's Manhattan trial is a reminder of the sleaze that always travels with Trump

Various polls have suggested that if Trump were convicted in any of his many trials, a substantial number of voters would be less likely to vote for him. That argument, despite the data, never fully added up. Any conviction of Donald Trump in the current case in New York, or any other case, will most likely just push people back to their political corners. Anybody who before these trials began still thought that Donald Trump was innocent is not going to have that position changed just because a jury ruled otherwise.
